Each of our meal plans offers a variety of meal options, satisfying varied dietary requirements, personal tastes and individual schedules. With multiple dining locations throughout our campus we truly offer something for everyone. Whichever plan you choose, know you’re getting excellent meals at a terrific value.

All First-Time, First-Year students living on-campus during their first semester must choose from one of our UNLIMITED ACCESS MEAL PLANS

Our UNLIMITED ACCESS plans offers unlimited entries in our four "all you care to eat" dining halls. That means you can dine in Central Campus DiningHarris Millis DiningNorthside Dining and/or Redstone Unlimited as many times as you would like throughout the day, week, semester all for one great price. Plus, the plan includes an option for 325 or 100 retail points. A retail point is valued at a dollar and acts as a declining balance account. Points can be used at any of our 13 retail outlets located around campus. Plus, six or three guest meals for you to treat a friend or family member. 

  • OPTION 1:  Unlimited Access + 325 Retail Points + 6 Guest Meals = $2383 per semester 
  • OPTION 2:  Unlimited Access + 100 Retail Points + 3 Guest Meals = $2133 per semester 

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR MY MEAL PLAN? 

You will sign up for your meal plan when completing the Housing and Meal Plan Contract.

UNUSED RETAIL POINTS

Unused retail points carry over from fall to spring semester as long as the plan holder maintains a resident meal plan. Any retail points not used by May 10, 2019 will expire and are non-refundable. If your meal plan contract is cancelled at any time, you no longer have access to meals or unused retail points. 

MEAL PLAN REQUIREMENT 

All residential students are required to have a meal plan for the term of their nine-month contract. Our residential facilities are not equipped to provide individual meal preparation, and our dining locations provide a variety of menu options. Students with specific meal related concerns are able to receive individual menu planning directly with a Registered Dietitian from UVM Dining. Releases from meal plans are at the sole discretion of the University’s Dean of Students Office.

Returning On-Campus Students must choose from one of the three meal plans: 

UNLIMITED ACCESS PLANS 

Our Unlimited Access Meal Plans offers unlimited entries in our four "all you care to eat" dining halls: Central Campus DiningHarris Millis , Northside Dining and/or Redstone Unlimited. Plus, either 325 or 100 retail points and six or three guest meals. A retail point is valued at a dollar and acts as a declining balance account that can be used at any of our 13 retail outlets located around campus.

  • OPTION 1:  Unlimited Access + 325 Retail Points + 6 Guest Meals = $2383 per semester
  • OPTION 2:  Unlimited Access + 100 Retail Points + 3 Guest Meals = $2133 per semester 

RETAIL POINT PLAN 

The Retail Point Plan is a declining balance account. Retail points can be used at all on-campus dining facilities including our "all you care to eat" dining locations. It is the responsibility of the plan holder to budget their retail points. The Retail Point Plan includes 25 Meals which can be used throughout the semester at any of our "all you care to eat" dining locations: 

  •   OPTION 3:  1425 Retail Points + 25 Meals = $2131 per semester

Unused retail points at the end of fall semester will carry over to spring semester (provided you have a Resident Meal Plan). Any unused retail points expire May 10, 2019 and are non-refundable. Any unused meals at the end of fall and spring semester are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Welcome to UVM Dining transfer orientation guide! We know how complicated switching schools can be so we've built this page to make the transition to UVM and our campus dining experience as smooth as possible. 

First thing's first...are you going to be living on-campus or off-campus? It's ok if you don't know now, many transfer students are still deciding. If you 're unsure, take a look at our resources for both on-campus and off-campus students. Here's the most important thing to keep in mind: All students living On-Campus must choose from one of our three Resident Meal Plans. You will select and sign up for your Resident Meal plan as part of the House and Meal Plan Contract.

BLOCK MEAL PLAN

Our Block "Meal" Plan allows for a set number of entries into our four "all you care to eat" locations: Central Campus DiningHarris Millis DiningNorthside Dining and/or Redstone Unlimited Dining.

75 Meals - $619 (average 5 meals per week... that's $8.25 a meal!) 
50 Meals - $426 (average 3 meals per week... $8.52 a meal!) 
30 Meals - $278 (average 2 meals per week... $9.27 a meal!) 

UNUSED MEALS carry over to the spring semester. Any unused meals at the end of the spring semester are non-transferable and non-refundable. A 30-Meal minimum is required to enroll in the Block Plan.

Supplement your Retail Points Plan by adding Blocks. The Block 30 Plan allows 30 entries into our four “all you care to eat” dining facilities at Central Campus DiningHarris MillisNorthside Dining and/or Redstone Unlimited for only $299. That's $9.97 per meal! You have the entire academic year to use your meals. An excellent complement to your Retail Point Plan or CatScratch Account.

In you find the plan you selected on your Housing and Meal Contract is not meeting your needs, then you can change your plan:

  • Last Day to switch is September 10, 2018, 4PM EST

Spring 2019   

  • October 31, 2018 - January 28, 2019
  • Last Day to switch is January 28, 2019, 4PM EST
Unless you indicate a change to us, the Resident Meal Plan you are on at the end of fall semester will automatically renew for spring semester, and billed accordingly.
