Dining Plan Options

For the 2024/25 Academic Year, we are offering four flexible dining plans tailored to meet students' needs:

All Access Plan

• Features: Unlimited Meal Swipes into traditional dining halls, 150 Retail Points, and 3 Guest Meals.

• Cost: $2,364 per semester.

• Details: Ideal for students who want seamless access to meals throughout the semester. This plan ensures meals are available from the first to the last day of the semester. All first-time, first-year students are automatically enrolled in this plan but may switch to a different option within the first two weeks of any semester.

All Access Plus Plan

• Features: Unlimited Meal Swipes into traditional dining halls, 300 Retail Points, and 5 Guest Meals.
• Cost: $2,486 per semester.
• Details: Includes all the benefits of the All Access Plan with additional Retail Points for greater flexibility.

Flex Plan

• Features: 160 Meal Swipes, 900 Retail Points, and 3 Guest Meals.
• Cost: $2,641 per semester.
• Details: A balanced option for students who want variety. The Flex Plan averages approximately 60 Retail Points and 10 Meal Swipes per week. It is not designed to cover all meals during the semester, so students must budget their Meal Swipes and Retail Points accordingly. Retail Points Plan

• Features: 50 Meal Swipes, 1,750 Retail Points, and 3 Guest Meals.
• Cost: $2,364 per semester.
• Details: Perfect for students seeking maximum flexibility and convenience. This plan averages approximately 97 Retail Points and 2 Meal Swipes per week. Like the Flex Plan, it requires students to manage their Meal Swipes and Retail Points effectively. Learn more about managing your balance by viewing the Spring 2025 Balance Card.

Important Notes

• Plan Adjustments: Meal plans are subject to change based on recommendations from University Administration.
• On-Campus Additions: Students can add Retail Points to their meal plan at any time. Added Retail Points become available once the meal plan’s initial points are used and only these new points carry over semester-to-semester as long as the student remains enrolled at UVM.
• On-Campus Meal Plan Requirement: All students living on-campus are required to have a meal plan for the duration of their housing contract. Students with dietary concerns can work directly with our Registered Dietitian for personalized menu planning.

Off-campus students can save money on all on-campus meals by purchasing Retail Points and/or Block Meals! Choose a plan that fits your taste, schedule, and budget:

Retail Point Plan

• Features: Functions as a declining balance account, with each point valued at $1. Points can be used at any on-campus dining locations.

1. Enjoy a 10% discount at Campus Perk, Given Bistro, Green Roof Deli, Redstone Market, The Marketplace, University Marche, UVM Dairy Bar, and Waterman Market.
2. Unused Retail Points carry over semester-to-semester as long as you remain enrolled at UVM.\
3. Use these as a way to pay inside before ordering food at our McAuley Hall or Jeanne Mance Hall Food Truck Series.

• Cost: Retail Points can be purchased in increments of 50, 100, 150, 200, or 250.
• Details: Ideal for off-campus students who want flexible, convenient access to all UVM dining locations. Not valid for Meal Exchange.

Block Plan

• Features: Provides a set number of Meal Swipes which can be used for entry into any of our four dining halls. Block Meals cannot be used for the Meal Exchange program. Unused Block Meals roll over from fall to spring semester but expire at the end of the academic year. Block Meals are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Cost: Blocks can be purchased in increments of 30, 50, 75, 100, 125, or 150.
• Details: A great option for students who want a set number of dining hall entries. Not to be used in retail and not valid for Meal Exchange.

Living On-Campus or Off-Campus?

Not sure yet? No problem. Many transfer students are still deciding. Explore our resources for both on-campus and off-campus students to find what works best for you. Here’s what’s most important: All students residing on-campus are required to choose one of our four on-campus meal plans. You’ll select and sign up for your meal plan as part of the Housing and Meal Plan Contract.

• Cost: Retail Points can be purchased in increments of 50, 100,150, 200 or 250.
• Details: Convenient and flexible dining option for those who want variety and savings. Perfect for accessing meals without leaving campus, saving time and parking hassles.

If you find the plan you selected on your Housing and Meal Contract is not meeting your needs, then you can switch your meal plan during the meal plan switch period (dates shown below) by logging into the housing portal and completing the Meal Plan Switch Form.

Meal Plan Switch Period:

• Fall 2024: before 9/9/2024 at 4:00 p.m.
• Spring 2025: before 1/27/2025 at 4:00 p.m.

It may take up to 10-business days to process a meal plan switch, which are completed in the order they are received. Once your order is submitted, please begin to use your plan as if it were your new one. Unless you indicate a change to us, the Resident Meal Plan you are on at the end of the fall semester will automatically renew for the spring semester and billed accordingly.
